Press Release:

Linz March 19, 2007

PRO-MED AG (the owner and manufacturer of SmartDose® infusion systems) signed on Friday March 16 2007 a commercial agreement with Fresenius- Kabi AG. This agreement is granting Fresenius-Kabi AG non-exclusive worldwide licensing rights to use chemically powered technology for single use infusion systems for defined design configurations.

This agreement settles out of court a patent dispute between PRO-MED and Fresenius- Kabi related to their chemically powered infusion systems: SmartDose® by PRO-MED and Ambix Anapa by Fresenius-Kabi. Undisclosed lump sum for the rights granted will be transferred to PRO-MED as well as royalty based payments from the net sales of the Anapa products.

Tomas Svoboda, CEO of PRO-MED Corp., said: “We are pleased at PRO-MED to sign this Agreement with Fresenius-Kabi for the following reasons: it concludes all legal disputes between our two companies related to the chemically propelled infusion technologies, generates additional revenues for PRO-MED, and it confirms the uniqueness and attractiveness of our proprietary technology and its place in the healthcare market.”

PRO-MED recently completed the development of SmartDose configuration other than for single-use infusion applications and is in negotiations with several strategic partners to launch this new technology variation on the market in the coming months.

About SmartDose®:
SmartDose® single use infusion pumps are auto-propelled through a unique chemical reaction (effervescent tablet) technology. SmartDose® is the only single use infusion pump on the market that can be pre-filled in advance with either a drug diluent or a specific drug mixture and thus eliminates several failure prone intermediary handling steps. SmartDose® is approved as a medical device and drug in the EU and has 510K authorization in the US. PRO-MED has since developed a broader range of this unique infusion platform. Custom made SmartDose® variants exclusive for specific applications and pharmaceutical entities can easily be produced, and applied everywhere where patient safety and compliance or market differentiation within a drug and device life cycle management is required.

About PRO-MED:
PRO-MED AG is a specialised drug delivery development company with patented technology targeted for emergency, hospital or ambulatory intra venous infusion or irrigation. PRO-MED pursues actively partnering programs with various pharmaceutical and med-tech companies in order to launch wider range of products on the growing market for ambulatory infusion.
