CHAIRMAN
is
venture partner in Medical Devices. After graduating from E.C.E
(Ecole Centrale d'Electronique de Paris) he began his career in
1972 at CGR, the Medical Devices Subsidiary of the French Thomson
Group, where he held various management positions. From 1985 to
1993, he was Founder, Chairman and CEO of Technomed International
a $ 40 Million sales company developing non invasive technologies
dedicated to therapy. He grew the company to its IPO on the French
Second Marché. From 1993 to 1997, he was Chairman and CEO
of IMMI, a start up that he co founded developing Neurosurgery Image
guided Robotic systems. The company was sold in 1997 to the US based
company ISS. Also from 1993 to 1999 he was Founder, Chairman and
CEO of Sometec, a start up developing technologies in Anesthesiology
and Intensive Care. The company was sold in 1999 to the US based
Nasdaq listed company ARROW International. Gérard remained
consultant for Arrow until 2001.
Gérard
Hascoët is Chairman of the Board of Valtronic Technologies
(Switzerland), Chairman of the Board of Pro-Med (Austria), Director
of the Board of EndoArt (Switzerland), Director of the Board of
Altamir (France) Director of the Board of Dupont Medical (France),
and Vice Chairman of BIOCRITT (France). He is Venture Partner for
the French based Venture Capital firm Sofinnova Partners.
